In this video I show you what a real black hole would look like near earth! Is it really black, or is it invisible? This videos stems from a previous video I did with Black 2.0 paint (the blackest black) with the world's brightest flashlight (32,000 lumen). I mentioned that the black 2.0 looked like a black hole. Some people responded to that and said that black holes weren't black, but they were invisible! So I made this video!

But, can a black hole really form? Well, the problem with black holes forming is this: gravity slows down time to an outside observer. The gravity of a black hole is so strong that, at the event horizon, the time of an object falling into a black hole to an outside observer has slowed to 0. So it takes an infinite amount of time to watch something fall into the event horizon. So, you could never actually watch a black hole form. All mass would simply asymptotically approach the event horizon, never actually entering it. So can a singularity ever truly form? Well it would take an infinite amount of time to do so. So the "black holes" that form from collapsing stars are not actually a singularity yet. They will form a singularity...after an infinite amount of time has passed. But, they can be treated the same after a "long-time." But to the person or "thing" falling into a black hole, the singularity has formed and they would fall in as normal (being ripped apart in the process). Isn't relativity a curious thing?

What id a black hole is just a spherical object similar to a star or planet whos pull is so strong it just doesn't let light or any pieces of star or planet ecscape after a collision, i mean no one has ever seen a black hole, and with no light to escape there is no way to tell what shape it would be

Also, if light does not reflect in black holes when we observe the black hole, than, if there is no sun or something to create light where we are, mass would still exist, and if we coud survive in other ways without the sun, we would not really need the sun to survive (when the sun finaly dies). This might be a world where we would not need sight as we know it, but a radar type ability to know what is around us. Which brings up an interesting thought. Since we determine beauty by our sight and preconceived notions, this world without light would have a different concept of what is beautiful.

All black holes will always appear completely motionless to us as the force that is pulling matter in also does not allow even light to escapes its grasp. So it’s pulling matter in faster than the speed of time so this would leaves us looking at a still image of the black hole from millions or billions of years in its future and our past as all future light that it pulls in would need to be moving back through space time to get trapped in the grasp of the black hole and could never be seen by us in our future as the light slips back through space time until it no longer exist in our timeline. All we will ever see is the impression of it’s trapped light that has gotten stuck around the event horizons outer ring layer that’s where it’s not able to pull in the light or let it escape. It’s forever trapped on this invisible boundary line and could even represent the size the black hole was billions of years in its past as the light we see today has been warped by gravity so drastically that it has been affectively distorted to the point that it appears to us that it has completely stopped or remains motionless and slowly over millions or billions of years all black holes should actually continue to get smaller not larger as the extreme forces of the black hole continue to compress space and time down smaller and smaller folding down to a single point in space and time. Proving there never was a Big Bang in the past but actually the opposite is true as it will happen billons of years into our future as we move backwards through space time endlessly compressing time and space down causing our universe to expand faster than the speed of light as we compress down backwards threw space and time pulling all matter and light further apart forming all the billions of galaxies we see today and in the middle of each of those galaxies lies a super massive black hole that continues to pull its galaxy down until the spaghettification process is finally completed At that point all black holes will form a quantum singularity at the exact same nano second in space time when the universe temperature is equalized to absolute zero and no more work can be done then it will snap instantaneously causing the Bang Bang to happen. Yes time has always been moving backwards not forwards and to the casual observer it’s only moving forward via the process of enthalpy as it’s impossible to measure the affects of time and we can’t actually prove it’s doing anything at all past helping us rationalize our own existence. This is just my theory and I’m not an astronomy major before you toss crazy compost my way know that I’m just a simple arm chair computer scientist with a big imagination! Hopefully if you read this far you find this theory thought provoking and that is my goal to stimulate others to challenge the known facts of our observable universe and present a theory that does not break any of the known laws we observe in it or thermal dynamics yet explains why black holes exist in the first place and why we see more energy than there is matter and why scientists had to dreamed up dark energy instead of theorizing that space time is actually moving backwards instead of forwards. And why light does not escape a black hole and why the universes matter is not equally distributed across all points in space as a single point for the Big Bang would have suggested it would but instead it was billions of points exploding at the same exact time and that’s why we see a massive black hole in the center of each and every galaxy and why we are expanding faster than the speed of light because we are actually contracting backwards not expanding forwards. Don’t get upset as black holes maybe the true givers of life instead of how main stream scientists look at them today.

Ok, I don't understand the event horizon. Photos and simulations always show a 2D silhouette surrounding the black hole, but I don't understand why it isn't a sphere? If it were a sphere the black hole would appear white because you could only see the event horizon like a thick atmosphere.

@The Action Lab - a question, or two. How the flashlight would light in the space? Will we be able to see the (stream) light? And the second question - why the flashlight can light only in a specific distance and not further? And related question - why if we will switch off the flashlight the light already "produced" is not going further but disappears?

A very interesting property about black holes is that the smaller the radius the stronger their gravitational pull. A supermassive black hole therefore has weaker gravitational pull than a small black hole, but both are a force to be reckon with.

A black hole is said to be bending the plane of the universe it resides on as it is a huge mass concentrated at a point. I have also heard about a theory that says that it can even interfere with other universe's plane (because universes are parallal). So can it take in, the matter of other universe as well?

My conclusion is that black holes are black since for something to be transparent light should be able to pass through it and get to the other side of the thing and leave the thing it just went through into a creatures eyes. A black hole has very strong gravity so light cannot go through it and leave it to go into a creatures eyes and a black hole being in front of a background with no light means that it is blending in to the background and light still cannot pass through it so in that scenario the black hole is camouflaging not being transparent
