Learn how to light charcoal without lighter fluid using only household supplies. All you need is some cooking oil and a paper towel or cotton rag. Soaking the rag in oil creates clean burning wick that burns slowly enough to give the charcoal time to catch on fire.
*NOTE* Some people have said this doesn't work. I have used olive oil every time I've done this, and it has worked fine. It should work just fine with other oils, but some have complained that other oils burn too fast. Every oil has a different smoke point, and therefore some oils will burn faster than others, so just keep that in mind. The lower the smoke point, the faster it will ignite and burn.
